Christie adds display control
Christie has bought Vista Controls Systems
AMERICA: Christie has bought Vista Controls Systems, the manufacturer of the Vista Spyder widescreen show control system.
Christie will offer Vista’s video switchers and real-time windowing and composition products alongside its projection systems. It plans to target fixed installations, rental/staging, broadcast and advanced visualisation environments with the new product mix.
‘Christie’s acquisition of Vista Controls Systems significantly increases our opportunities for deeper market penetration,’ said Jack Kline, president and coo, Christie Digital Systems USA, Inc. ‘We already share many of the same channel partners, philosophies and commitment to providing the highest quality, best-in-class solutions to our customers.’
Christie projectors and Vista switchers have already been used together for both installation and rental/staging projects, including both broadcast studios and corporate display areas.
